The rotor of the Co27 stock was designed to work with the new generation of
3800/4200 mAh batteries from Intellect. The rotor, due to the lamination design
is more efficient It comes out strong and stays that way the whole run. No heat
fade like other stock motors. The lamination design has a higher inertia which
means the motor rolls more and does not bog down in corners. This is especially
important in touring cars with all their drag and weight. More corner speed is
achieved and carried down the straight than with the Monster Stock.
The Co27s can has revised cooling holes. Besides cooling the motor their placement and shape alters the can's magnetic field. The armature sees more virtual timing. This combined with our Z armature shape results in more rpm and power overall.
The Co27s flat can prevents cheating by turning the endbell to increase timing.
All Pro versions are tuned and tweaked by our motor technicians. All armatures have the balance checked, shafts are checked for straightness. commutators are diamond trued, magnets are charged to capacity, bushings aligned, and brush hoods aligned. The motor is then assembled with the best combination of brushes and springs, dyno tuned and tested. All motors have the data stickers attached right to the can for your reference.
